DIVERSITY & INCLUSION

BEAT is committed to promoting a diverse and inclusive workplace. We believe that a workplace that values and respects every individual helps us to deliver outstanding services. Our Diversity & Inclusion Policy sets out BEAT's commitment to promoting diversity and inclusion in our workplace, and outlines the steps we take to make this happen.

BEAT''s Commitment to Diversity and Inclusion

Our goal is to ensure BEAT is an attractive and accessible place to work for all. We want everyone to feel comfortable bringing their authentic selves to work.

We believe that by creating a diverse and inclusive workplace, we can improve our performance, increase innovation, and create a more engaged and productive workforce.

BEAT is committed to creating a workplace that is free from discrimination and harassment. We do not tolerate any form of discrimination - whether it is based on race, gender, age, disability, religion, sexual orientation, or any other personal characteristic.

At BEAT we actively promote diversity and inclusion in all aspects of our business - including the following:

Recruitment and Selection

We ensure that our recruitment and selection processes are fair, equitable and inclusive.

During the recruitment process we want candidates to be able to perform at their best - some of the adjustments we can offer include:

  • Longer time periods to complete selection activities such as presentations, tasks, or tests

  • Alternative application methods such as communicating with a member of the team to capture the application details

  • Accessible via info@beatzero.co.uk for any queries about what adjustments may benefit your application or interview.

Training and Development

Training and development opportunities are available to all our employees, alongside broader support to help them reach their full potential.

Promotion and Progression

We ensure that all our employees have equal opportunities for promotion and progression. Promotion and progression decisions are based upon merit and potential, and we will ensure that the process is fair and transparent.

Engagement and Encouraging Feedback from Staff

We seek and encourage regular feedback from our staff in recognition of their role in helping us make shorter term decisions and longer term strategies.

Celebrating differences

We nurture a commitment to inclusion by celebrating differences in the workplaces and recognising significant calendar days and celebrations throughout the year.

Harassment and Bullying

BEAT does not tolerate any form of harassment or bullying in the workplace. We will take all allegations of harassment or bullying seriously, and will investigate them promptly and impartially. BEAT will take appropriate action against anyone found to have engaged in harassment or bullying in the workplace.

Monitoring and Review

We will monitor and review this policy - and its implementation - regularly to ensure that it remains effective and relevant.

Legislation and Requirements

This policy is in compliance with the Equality Act 2010, which makes it illegal to discriminate against someone on the grounds of age, disability, gender reassignment, marriage and civil partnership, pregnancy and maternity, race, religion or belief, sex, or sexual orientation.

This policy is also in line with the ACAS Code of Practice on Discipline and Grievance, which provides guidance on handling harassment and bullying complaints in the workplace.
